Sorting hat revision

A revision task where students race to sort features of a text into suitable categories. The activity is versatile and physical! The resource includes a teacher instruction sheet and a sorting card template.

You choose the categories and come up with the 'features' which are appropriate to the text you are studying, or get students to make these as revision cards, and finish your lesson with the hat race.

As an alternative, put quotations from your text on the cards, and get students to sort the cards into appropriate essay topics.
