Students work in groups to analyse the opening 21 stanzas of 'The Eve of St Agnes' by John Keats. Each group are given a task card with learning prompts and questions to answer as they explore Keats' poetic devices and the tragic theme in detail together in three stanzas. All groups would then feed back to the class.

Designed for students following AQA A-level English Literature B 'Aspects of tragedy' but could be adapted for other specifications.
