Exploring themes and issues

This resource is designed to help students' understanding of the key themes in 'Singh Song!' by Daljit Nagra. They are tasked with identifying words and extracts relating to the key themes and creating their own shape poem/visual representation using these. 

For the second activity, give students a card with one of the key themes on and they should fill the card with relevant words or quotations from the poem. They could then discuss what they've chosen and why as part of a group task.  

The resource includes suggestions for differentiation.
