A table for students to complete with synonymous adjectives, physical behaviours and ways of speaking, to show a range of emotions in their descriptive or narrative writing about characters.

A writing task includes example sentences which demonstrate the process of showing, not telling, a characters' emotions.

A list of possible answers is provided, which you could use to scaffold the task for students who require more support.
