Planning a story set on a dark night

Support students to plan and write a narrative response to an image of a dark night. The activities are based on the AQA specimen paper question:

You have been invited to produce a piece of creative writing about how children play imaginatively. Write a story set on a dark night as suggested by this picture.

Activities include: completing a plan, practising showing, not telling the reader, and summarising advice for writing a plan.

The resource also includes advice for writing narratives in exam conditions.
