Teaching ideas

  • Students could imagine the first human on Earth finds himself in a busy town centre. Write a first person descriptive piece about the experience.
  • Students have been transported back 800,000 years. They can take three things from the modern world to help with their survival. What would they take and why?
  • Students imagine they are a local news reporter. Some mystery foot prints have been found on the beach. Write a report detailing who found them, who they think might have left the prints and whether anyone has sighted the creature who made them. The Teachit resource Write your own newspaper article may help with the structure.
