- Open up a broad discussion. Why do you think he’s doing this? Is it solely to be ‘kind’ or might there be other reasons? How do they think the people who receive an ‘act of kindness’ feel? Explore the fact that some people may feel uncomfortable having their food bought for them etc.
- Get students to keep their own diary, recording any acts of kindness they take part in. They could give themselves a target, say once a week, and write about why they chose this particular act and what the consequences were. This could work as an independent project for them to complete over a term.
