This year marks the anniversary of 400 years since William Shakespeare’s death, so there are even more Shakespeare themed celebrations going on than normal. See below for our highlights and a selection of websites covering all events.

Macbeth at the Royal Festival Hall
The London Philharmonic Orchestra provides the soundtrack to this famous tragedy.

Shakespeare on the Silent Screen: Hamlet, Barbican Cinemas
A series of rare and silent Shakespeare films.
6.3.16 4pm

A Midsummer Night’s Dream (RSC)
A unique production of this whimsical play, intertwining professional and amateur actors.
On tour from 17th February

Shakespeare’s Dead
A major Shakespeare exhibition at the Bodleian Library.
