I checked the sample and it says we would want students to summarize the plot. We do not want them to do this at all. The marker knows the plot and they need only use specific elements to make the specific points they need to make. I will not be purchasing this resource.

Hi Bernice, sorry that you did not like one of the tasks in the pack. The intention of the task is to help students avoid regaling the entire plot, and get used to condensing key information to make relevant points of analysis instead. This is a preparatory task for the more advanced skills of essay writing. We hope you would find other activities in the pack more helpful for your students.

I integrate them into my own resources that have proved positive for the group of men I support in Literacy and Numeracy. Some are older learners returning to education. I find these resources very useful and in some cases time saving for myself.
