Teaching ideas

A number of teaching activities and suggestions for exploring 'Hawk Roosting' by Ted Hughes. The first task looks at different critical interpretations of the poem. The second task asks students to look closely at the vocabulary in the poem, specifically the Anglo-Saxon and Latinate words, while the final task asks students to write a persuasive speech about protection for hawks.
