A selection of activities on social class in the play
A useful activity that asks students to think about social class in the play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw. Students are asked to sort they key characters depending on their level of social class, taking into account things like house, work, speech, clothes and behaviour. There is also a gap-filling exercise where they complete key quotations and analyse what the quotations tell us about that character.
