Child Language Acquisition - data analysis activity
This is a flexible resource which can be used in a variety of ways to explore child language acquisition. There are five sets of original child language data (age 1-4 years) so that students can investigate children's lexical, semantic, grammatical, phonological and pragmatic development during all the main phases. It includes teaching notes with suggestions for how you could use the data with your class, and question prompts to share with students. There is also a linguistic framework grid for students to make notes on the data.
