Narrative writing - build your own adventure story
This wonderful imaginative story-writing resource uses J.R.R Tolkien's The Hobbit as a starting point. Students discover new lands, overcoming monsters and other obstacles as they create their own adventure story and defeat their monster.
The classroom resource includes comprehension questions, descriptive writing prompts, map-drawing and guidance on using speech marks for dialogue.
